Located in Innisfail since 1967, Radio 4KZ covers the lush tropical coast of Far North Queensland from Townsville in the south to Cairns city in the north and Karumba to Normanton in the Gulf of Carpentaria.

Our crisp, clear signal is a result of the latest state of the art on-air audio processing, low frequency (531 khz) and 10,000 watts from our new transmitter.

This vibrant region is fast becoming Australia's holiday playground with over 480,000 domesting and international visitors each year.

The programme was originally started by KZ General Manager Al Kirton in 1987. For over 20 years this legendary show has been hosted mainly by Greg Vuleta. In our "Musical Museum" you'll hear many rare gems from the 40s to the 70s. The show also attracts an international audience via our "live" stream on the internet.

Trading Post – Saturdays 1 to 4 pm

Since 1987 the KZ Trading Post Show has developed into one of Australia's leading "Sell, Swap, Buy" Radio programmes. So much so, a number of other stations have tried to copy the format. KZ regularly reveives calls from hundreds of kilometers away. Listeners are invited to take part by dialling 40617222 between 1 and 4 pm Saturdays. Remember there is a $5000 limit on individual items.
